Quartz countertops: what to know before you choose
Care
Quartz is engineered from ground natural quartz bound with resin, so it is non-porous: it never needs sealing and resists stains from wine, coffee and oil. Everyday cleaning is soap and water. The one caution is heat — set hot pans on a trivet, because high heat can scorch the resin.
Choosing a color
Quartz patterns stay consistent from slab to slab, so marble-look Calacatta and Carrara styles, solid colors and bold veining are easy to match to your cabinets. Hold the slab samples against a cabinet door in the showroom before you decide. Very long runs can show seams; the digital template, made after your cabinets are set, places seams, sink cutouts and appliance gaps exactly.

One written price covers the free in-home measurement, your slab, the digital template, fabrication with your edge profile and sink or cooktop cutouts, and installation by our own crew, backed by our three-year workmanship warranty. How much do quartz countertops cost in San Antonio?
Typical installed pricing at WoodArt is $55–$110 per sq ft, including measurement, template and installation. A standard 10×10 kitchen uses roughly 35 sq ft of countertop; your free in-home measurement gives the exact figure.
Does quartz need to be sealed?
No. Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing — wipe it with soap and water. Use a trivet under hot pans, since high heat can scorch the resin.
Can I choose my exact quartz slab?
Yes. See full-size 9'×5' slabs at our Isom Rd showroom — colors and veining vary slab to slab — and compare them with your cabinet door before you decide. Colors we don't stock can be special-ordered from MSI, Cambria, Silestone or Caesarstone.
Which edge profiles can I choose?
